Compare Three Toy Supplier Quotes: A Buyer Checklist
Compare toy supplier quotes on the same product, price unit, Incoterm, MOQ, packaging and inspection scope. Download an editable comparison worksheet.
First define the common specification.
Use the same product reference, construction, size, color allocation, retail pack and order quantity in all three requests. Compare the purchasing unit explicitly: one toy, one completed set and one carton are different bases.
A low price on a substitute design or a higher MOQ is a different offer. Record that difference rather than treating it as a saving.

Sourcing brief and three-supplier quote comparison. Editable Excel file.
Put every quote on the same worksheet.
| Compare | Ask each supplier | Decision use |
|---|---|---|
| Identity and validity | Quoting entity, model, quote date and validity | Know who offered which version. |
| Price and quantity | Currency, unit, price tier, MOQ and case pack | Calculate the cost at the quantity you can actually buy. |
| Packing | Stock pack, printed quantity, setup and assembly | Identify costs missing from the item price. |
| Samples | Sample cost, courier, revision scope and approval | Compare the same physical and packing specification. |
| Quality and documents | Inspection scope and SKU-specific documents available | Separate a supplier claim from a record you have reviewed. |
| Delivery basis | EXW / FOB / quoted delivered scope, named place and exclusions | Avoid double-counting or omitting transport. |
| Payment and changes | Deposit, balance trigger, changes and remedy terms | Compare cash exposure and approval responsibilities. |
A small example of a misleading price gap.
Illustrative offers for the same assumed 600 units: A quotes $0.60 per unit plus $45 packaging setup; B quotes $0.65 including that setup. With all other scope assumed equal, A totals $405 and B totals $390. B has the higher unit price and the lower specified subtotal.
Actual comparison must also include packaging quantity, freight basis, sample costs, quality scope and every exclusion. The example does not represent a real supplier offer.
Keep unanswered items in the decision.
Do not score a blank freight, testing or assembly line as free. Ask the supplier to mark it Included, Quoted separately, Not applicable or Pending. Resolve the pending lines before comparing a final total.
